Welcome to La Grande Middle School!

I am both honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, and community of La Grande as principal of La Grande Middle School. As a lifelong member of this community, I take great pride in giving back to the place that has shaped me. I am a graduate of La Grande High School and Eastern Oregon University, and I feel fortunate to continue living and raising my family here.

My wife and I have three children who have all attended La Grande Middle School. Through their experiences, I have seen firsthand the outstanding education, meaningful opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences our school provides. I am continually proud of the work our staff does to support and inspire our students.

One of the unique strengths of La Grande Middle School is our dedicated staff. Every member of our team has chosen to work with middle school students because they genuinely enjoy this age group and understand the important role they play during these formative years. Middle school is a time of tremendous growth, self-discovery, and change. While it certainly comes with challenges, our staff are passionate about helping students navigate these years with confidence, support, and encouragement.

I am deeply committed to partnering with families and our community to ensure the success of every student. Having served as an educator in La Grande for more than 16 years, I have had the privilege of watching students grow into successful, contributing members of our community, state, and beyond. Supporting that journey is what inspires me each day, and I cannot imagine a more rewarding place to serve.

Please know that my door is always open. Strong communication and meaningful partnerships between home and school are essential to student success, and I encourage families to reach out whenever questions, concerns, or opportunities arise.
